Light painting and stop motion photography accidentally led to filmmaking when Jake realised he only had to press one button to get movement on screen. He has trained at the NYFA and NFTS, picking up a Chinese degree in between, which led to writing and directing a commercial airing on TV in China.

As well as working for clients such as the BBC, Tui (Thomson Holidays) and Arcadia, Jake’s short fictional films led him to win awards such as ’IMDB New Filmmaker- Audience Award’ at Bath Film Festival and the ‘Best Student Short’ at the Comedy Cluj IFF, the biggest comedy film festival in Europe.
